Dan Tamarkin here of Tamarkin Camera in Chicago here to show you the second part of our Leica M3 series, which is how to extract a roll of film from the camera once you're done shooting. The first thing-depress the little lever in the direction of the arrow. That's the rewind lever. Now, you're ready to begin rewinding the film. Extend the crank, and start cranking. There will come a point at which you will feel the film come free from the spool that we loaded it onto. It's a very distinct feeling- you can't miss it. A few more turns, open our base plate, minding the hinge at back, the little tab on the backside, and voila! Ready to go for another roll of film.
