The Zeiss 85mm f2

One of the rarest Zeiss M-mount lenses, this stellar 85mm portrait lens is exceedingly hard to find... and absolutely worth the search.

Dan Tamarkin here from Tamarkin Camera in downtown Chicago to give you another rarity du jour. Today, we have the Zeiss 85 mm f2. This is a Sonar Lens that was made for the Leica M-Mount, made in very few copies. 85 mm, f2 T*  Lens made for the Leica M-Mount, and this one was recently serviced by Zeiss and comes with its lens shade and original caps as well. This is a really fantastic portrait lens that works great on the Leica M cameras. As you can tell, it's a pretty sizable piece of glass, it needs to be to be f2. It has a very smooth feel to it and it makes absolutely beautiful images.
