Leica R Series Lenses
For most people, the Leica is about the M series, and the 35m antiquities. But did you know that Leica made Single Lens Reflex lenses that work great on LiveView M cameras, the SL, CL and other (non-Leica) digital cameras? These fast primes "R" series lenses are aces - and a great way to add longer Leica lenses and zooms to your kit…

Dan Tamarkin here from Tamarkin Camera in downtown Chicago to talk a little bit about Leica R Series Lenses. These are three rare lenses made for the Leica R System. Very easily adaptable to the M, the SL, CL, and also Sony AR products.
So here we have a 280 mm f4 Apo-Telyt. You have a tripod cleat built-in that rotates around the lens. You have strap lugs built-in. Cute little filter carrier. F4 apo chromatically corrected, which means that all of the light rays, color light rays, meet on the sensor or the film plane at exactly the right time giving you colors that really pop. 280 f4 Apo-Telyt, pretty cool lens.
70 to 180 Apo-Elmarit. So this is also apo chromatically corrected. 70 mm to 180 mm, 2.8 all the way through, it's pretty rad. Built-in lens shade like the other ones. Tripod cleat that revolves. Strap lugs. This one takes an E77 filter on the front so it doesn't have a filter carrier in the back. 70 to 180 Apo-Elmarit. Mm, delicious.
Here's my favorite lens, and this is very very rare. This is a 180 millimeter f2 Apo-Summicron. This is the real deal. You have the same features. Built-in lens shade. Tripod cleat that revolves around the entire collar of the lens. Strap lugs on the lens because you could, it's a workout. E100 filter size, 180 mm f2 Apo-Summicron. This is one bad mother.
So visit us here in downtown Chicago. You can take a look at all of these lenses, maybe take one home with you if you like, they're all looking for loving homes. So give us a call at 1-(800) BUY-LEICA or on the world wide web at Tamarkin.com. Thanks for watching.
